FiberCloud, a Bellingham high-tech data center established by Gary Nelson in 1999 has been purchased by means of an Everett data center company.
LightStream Data Center Inc. purchased the assets of FiberCloud upon Dec. 13. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. LightStream is a subsidiary of the Whidbey Telephone Company, which provides a variety of telecommunication yields including offering DSL service to Point Roberts.
George Henny, president of LightStream, said the company plans no significant changes to FiberCloud,
