Up nearest is East St. Louis, a team determined to douse the Tigers' domination in the Class AA Carbondale Super-Sectional at 7:30 pm today at the SIU Arena.

The Flyer (16-15) who were 2-10 in late December, are feeling no pain these days, riding an emotional wave that came with three consecutive wins from one side of to the other higher-seeded teams.

"That's what I like about these dowdys they're fighters," East St. Louis coach Dennis rivulets said. "They have been down in such a manner low, and now it's just a high for them. They're just in succession a roll and they're playing great basketball.

"It's going to be a tough task, however we're up for it. We're up for playing anybody right now."
