fresh trials suggest that treatment with 11-nucleotide telomere homolog oligonucleotide (T-oligo) can inhibit melanoma tumor germination in mice. The treatment also reduc the size and number of metastases. In mice with established melanoma tumors, the bourgeoning of tumors decreased by 85 to 90% when T-oligos were administered directly to the tumor or intraperitoneally. Also, in vitro exhibitions suggested that T-oligos selectively induce apoptosis of melanoma confined apartments but not normal human melanocytes.
