Brian Michael Bendis is single of the most prolific writers in comicdom today. He’s penn a number of critically acclaimed crime and espionage graphic novels, the superheroic police series Powers, and the detective series Alias (no relation to the TV show) He’s also revitalized a number of Marvel characters, including Spider-Man in the Ultimate Spider-Man series, which is the basis for Activision’s modern game.

CGW: Who would you say is your favorite character you’ve written about?

Bendis: Wow That’s like Sophie’s choice. I couldn’t possibly single out But my all-time faves were Spidey and Daredevil, for a like reason I am blessed.

CGW: Is there a comic-book character you’ve wanted a chance to bring back if it be not that haven’t yet?

Bendis: Yeah, there’s a prolonged laundry list. The new the same is Ultimate Moon Knight, [which features month Knight], who is showing up in Ultimate Spider-Man. That was a big the same for us, to kind of point out to Moon Knight in a recently made known light and, you know, indicate him off a little bit.

CGW: Can you talk about the proces of working onward the story for the Ultimate Spider-Man game? by what mode does it feel going from a comic volume to an interactive medium?

Bendis: It was like college edifice or building for me…and it was just a great time for me as a writer, because you have this certain thing [with] a comic part no matter what you do. It’s 22 pages and there’s a format that you go in the rear or in the wake of Then all of a unlooked for here’s this challenge: to write the same characters in an entirely different medium, an entirely different format, with the reader being the director, if you know what I mean. thus really, not only was it exciting to write that, it actually altered the way I was approaching the comic as well.

CGW: And we understand that the story you’re writing carries through directly from the comics.

Bendis: Yeah, it’s Ultimate continuity, top to bottom. And it’s just another Ultimate Spider-Man story, further this story [answers] a fortune of the questions people continue asking us online. What happened to Venom? substance like that. And the game is the no other than place you’ll see it. Unfortunately, I’m not allowed to talk any more about that for now!
