As I write this, centurys of UFE writers across Canada await their issues When I think back to my hold writing, I remember two stressful periods: the month leading up to the exam and the weeks afterwards worn out waiting for my results.

CASB won't be able to eliminate the wait, still we believe students in our program will find the period leading up to the uniform evaluation les stressful than bookish mans of the past; this is because preparation begins with their first day of CASB and continues as they perfect the modules.

I know that pupils are still anxious about the transitional nature of the 2002 uniform evaluation, nevertheless I believe CASB's comprehensive approach will make secure that all students are prepared for this, and in fact, any uniform evaluation.

The first note of the scale difference between the 2002 uniform evaluation and time to come ones is that the 2002 evaluation is syllabus-based and point-marked, whereas, beginning in 2003 evaluations will be based upon the recently released CA Map. The key similarity is that the pair the uniform evaluation in 2002 and in to come will consist of three papers: individual comprehensive case study and sum of two units sets of multi-subject questions. And neither will contain multiple-choice questions.

CASB observers recently completing Module 3 have already begun preparation. They've practised UFE questions at their face-to-face interactive sessions and discussed approaches to the exam. This kind of preparation will continue during the fourth and fifth module face-to-face interactive sessions. couple days out of each three-day session will include practice questions and work forward developing an approach to writing a syllabus-based exam. Additionally, in the pair Modules 4 and 5, bookish mans will have one weekly task that will require them to cause to grow their answer writing process.

Beginning in January 2002 online tutorials will be available covering topics in each of the major syllabus areas. There will also be a tutorial for passing from hand to hand topics. The tutorials will be introduced brace weeks apart, and will be available to scholars who are eligible to write the 2002 exam. In addition to the tutorials, online resources and practice exams will also be available.

The Module 5 interactive session in August 2002 will lead into a two-week intensive faceto-face prep course. learners will receive counselling, exam practice, and individual feedback. (More information forward the prep course is available at www.casb.com.) After the prep course, they'll have a one-week self-- reflection period followed by a practice exam with individual feedback. The pair weeks leading up to the Uniform Evaluation will be self-study with close examiners having access to chat places email feedback, and bulletin boards.

This year saw the first 11 graduates of the modern UBC Co-op Program reach the UFE These candidates put a very high standard through achieving a pass rate of 909 for cent. The following additional programs achieved comes above our BC average pass rate of 691 for cent (number of candidates are shown in parentheses): SFU shut up Program 78.4 per cent (37 candidates); University of Victoria Business 75 by cent (20 candidates); UBC Accounting 711 for cent (45 candidates); UBC Business 100 by cent (7 candidates); University corporation of the Cariboo 71.4 through cent (7 candidates); Royal Roads University 75 for cent (4 candidates); and BCIT 100 by cent (1 candidate). Nonbusiness bookish man performance improved significantly this year with the 97 candidates with non-business orders attaining a pass percentage of 639 by cent compared with 54.2 by cent last year. The follows for mature students remained constant at 667 for cent.

Congratulations to all 221 of our happy UFE candidates for a piece of work well done!
