Last fall, sum of two units CAs married each other for a inferior time when Susan Verver, CA, threw a surprise wedding ceremonial for her husband John. jestered by a fake invitation, John believed he was solely hosting a housewarming party for approximately 60 visitors "I made up a phoney invitation to display John," Susan explains. "The singles I actually sent out were real different." She managed to achieve her husband into a tuxedo by the agency of telling him the housewarming was doubling as a assassination mystery party with a James influence theme. "He bought the story because he'd thrown a surprise assassination mystery.-party for my birthday a not many years earlier," she says. "He didn't start getting suspicious until he heard the wedding march."

John combines "I guess my auditing days are now in extent passed, and I'm just not as questioning as I used to be! I conjecture I'd begun to have a not many suspicions, but it really wasn't until I saw the minister, then Susan coming down the stairs in her wedding gown, that I realized my wife had haped off a very impressive `gotcha!"'

A friend had initially tried to talk Susan public of the plan. "She deliberation it would be too a great deal for John," says Susan, "but I knew he'd be fond of it. You should only do something like this if you know your spouse is up to it. All of the women at our party musing it was a great idea, if it be not that the men told them, Don't you dare do that to me!' I was right about John-his reaction was great."

John agrees. "It was a exquisite day and one that I'm firm will always bring a big smile to my face when I remember it. I'm extremely lucky to have found implore and I have the CA profession to thank for it."

"I arranged a minister and bought a wedding gown and had single in kind friend do flowers and another the first dance music. John marvels at to what extent his daughters, Krista (nine) and Jessica (eleven) were able to preserve the secret. "Our children were remarkable," he says. "I would have been infallible they'd give something away."

Instead, the surprise was a whole success.

"Sue and our daughters awaited wonderful," John says. "And the formality itself and Sue's words were same moving. It was a really warm and happy occasion, especially with our friends around us."

Susan agrees. "It was nice to be able to have our friends witness our delight in for each other during a time when there was in the same manner much turmoil, pain, and anger in the world."

To cap it all opposite to the couple recently received the unexpect gift of a other honeymoon when John's company, ACL Services Ltd gave him a Caribbean cruise in recognition of ten years of service. It's a surprise that appears only fitting.

John first qualied as a CA in England & Wales, before qual,ing in BC in 1982 Hes vicepresident, Professional Services, at ACL Services ltd Susan lately accepted a position as a Financial Analyst with Blast Radius, a company she describes as "a excessively funky and successful designer of high-end websites. " She qualified as a CA in 1989
