Pop-Up catalogue of persons Results

The results are back for our to a high degree first "Pop-- Up Poll." The question was: "WhAt would you like to view added to the ICABC website?" The ends were:

So the big winner was "accounting humour," which means we'd better start creating an ICABG Accounting Humour Repository! To contribute, project your accounting jokes to me at mikusch@ica.bc.ca. Our Internet Editorial Committee will then vet the cranks to make sure they're not racially, religiously, or sexually "adventurous."

As for the other items, an online listing of firms should be available in the Who We Are section of the ICABC website by way of the end of January; the searchable ICABC Members Handbook has been available since the finis of January 2002 in the CA Advisor section of the website below "Members Handbook"; and we'll be making an advanced (Boolean) search engine available onward the ICABC website some time in 2002 This last will deficiency the existing basic search engine, which you can access via the link in the black bar at the top of the page.

New Pop-Up individual Question

The of recent origin question for the Pop-Up individual relates to the issues of recruitment and training: What do you think we should be doing in these areas? The question has been up upon the site since early December, still we'll be leaving it up until mid-January. in like manner please cast your vote, and share your ideas with us.

In case you haven't over and above seen our new Pop-- Up catalogue of persons it's available on the homepage of the ICABC website. If you're elsewhere forward the site, the easiest way to access the homepage is to click onward the black and white ICABC logo in the top left-hand corner of the riddle Once you've clicked the logo and arrived at the homepage, you'll behold a blue circle in the middle of the page with the rife Pop-Up Poll question. Click upon it to give us your input.

We'll be updating the questions approximately each six weeks. If you have any suggestions for subsequent time Pop-Up Poll questions, please email them to me at

mikusch@ica.bc.ca. The deductions page of the Pop-Up individual has an "Archives" button that will allow you to check the inferences of previous polls.

Online Searchable Members Handbook

The online searchable ICABC Members Handbook in the CA Advisor section of the website is comprised of seven sections. single in kind section contains Adobe Acrobat (PDF) versions of the Handbook that can be downloaded and printed; five contain the five separate sections of the Members Handbook (CA Act, Bylaws, Regulations, masterys of Professional Conduct, and Interpretations) in HTML format; and the final section contains a search engine for the Members Handbook.

Please note: The Members Handbook search engine will search the Handbook and nothing else If you'd like to do a site-wide search, please use the regular search engine, which can be accessed via the link in the black bar at the top of the page.
