At its September meeting, Council approved a prevail upon from 1133 Melville Street to Bentall Tower single The reasons were simple: Bentall single in kind is cheaper and more safe and gives us the opportunity to cause to grow an office plan that bring reproachs how we do business in 2002 Why the move? Part of the answer lies in the challenges of our existing office. After 20 years, the carpet is worn, the ceiling tiles stained, and the lighting inadequate. Moreover, many of the offices are furnished with component parts designed before computers became the norm. Add to that the fact that our Melville building has been sold and it's unclear what the developers' plans are... although they have bought all the goods west of us on the obstruct and rumour has it a inn is planned. We were also real lucky with our timing. Our lease here ran disclosed during one of the biggest satiates of commercial space in the downtown core. With Bentall Five and the modern PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP building pulling the "Class A" tenants to swanky modern digs, those of us looking for "Class B" space were in good fortune With some help from real estate negotiators, our whole move-including refurbishing and refurnishing-will not add to members prices So we're packing our bags, and you'll be able to visit us in Bentall undivided by the end of February 2003!
