D&H assemblage in Vancouver is pleased to announce that Craig Cox CA, and Arthur Asana, CA, joined the firm's partnership as corporate partners effective January 1 2004

Cox has been with the firm since 1993 He provides tax planning, business advisory, and accounting services to clients in a number of service areas, and has a particular interest in advising clients in succession the tax issues for private businesses; corporate reorganizations; trusts and estates; voluntary disclosures; and tax appeals.

Azana has been with D&H assemblage since 1994. He provides tax planning and business advisory services to clients in a variety of service areas, and has a particular interest in dealing with tax issues for appeals and disputes; corporate reorganizations; non-residents; trust and estate planning; and First Nations.

The following CAs have been appointed to the IIA's 2004 board of directors: Carrie Bear, CA-CIA; Allan Chen, CA-CIA; David Chiang, CA-CIA, CMC; David Fairbotham, CA-CIA; Jerry Mah, CA-CIA; Stuart Newton, CA-CIA; and John Page, CA, CIA.

John Mak, CA, has been appointed to the Citizens' Assembly forward Electoral Reform, which begins its work in January 2004 Mak will depict the Burnaby North riding.

Dan Maxwell, CA, was lately appointed chief financial officer of BC Housing. Previous to this appointment, Maxwell serv as the two acting CEO and CFO of the Homeowner Protection Office.

Nancy McKenzie, CA, has been named vice-president of finance and administration of Washington Marine clump and Kevin Irvine, CA, has been named executive vice-president. McKenzie will retain oversight responsibility for the financial services department, and Irvine will retain his responsibilities as chief financial officer.

Jonathan Sinfield, CA-IT, became united of the profession's first CA-designated IT specialists in September 2003 He is the collection IT director for the Marketform arrange which operates within the Lloyd's Insurance market in London, England, writing specialist liability risks in Canada and worldwide. Sinfield's name was mistakenly omitted from the list of EC's CA-IT designees published in the October 2003 issue of Beyond Numbers.

Doug Tyce CA, has been named as a director of the Greater Nanaimo Chamber of Commerce

CA CHAIRS A BIG SUCCESS

In the fall of 2003 "Golf for Big Sisters" raised $37000 for Big Sisters of BC Lower Mainland with the support of Chair Renate M Mueller CA. through the whole extent of the past seven years, the end has raised over $200,000 for Big Sisters' programs and services. Mueller is the past president of the BC middlemans Association.
