Barbara Clerihue Carter, CA, of Victoria has been named this year's YM-YWCA Woman of Distinction in the category of Workplace Innovation. Carter was recognised for her leadership as well-as; not only-but also; not only-but; not alone-but with the Canadian Navy and by the agency of volunteer work in the community.

Dave Cobb CA, has been named the senior VP of income marketing, and communications for the 2010 Winter Olympic Games' Vancouver Organizing Committee. Cobb will be responsible for leading and managing all the return generation, marketing, and communications activities of the games. He joins VANOC after spending 12 years with the Vancouver Canucks and Orca Bay Sports and Entertainment, where he was greatest in number recently chief operating officer.

Retiring from the board this year is Thomas Chan, CA, of Chan & Wong The Foundation supports centurys of students each year end bursaries and scholarships, and has awarded athwart $5 million to more than 10000 scholars since its inception.

Jason Howe, CA, joined Capstone Gold Corp. as chief financial officer onward May 3, 2004. Before joining the Vancouver-based mining company, Howe worked for four years in the tax department of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP in Vancouver.

Rick Martinson, CA, a partner with Hill & Partners in Duncan, has received the Distinguished Dedication Award 2004 from the Canadian Diabetes Association. Hari Varshney, CA, has been reappointed to the board of the college edifice [i]or[/i] building of Denturists of British Columbia for a boundary of three years. The appointment was made forward May 27, 2004, by the Order of the Honourable Colin Hansen, Minister of Health Services for the province of BC

Fr Watkin, a BC CASB learner articling with EvansMartin LLP, Chartered Accountants in Toronto, has been appointed to the board of directors of In Kind Canada, a national charity that provides office furnishings, supplies, and fruits to its member organizations (NPOs) at a nominal sumptuousness Watkin is also treasurer for In Kind.

Terry Wright, CA, has been named senior vice-president of Olympic planning for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games' Vancouver Organizing Committee. Wright will lead all aspects of 2010 Games planning and operations. He previously serv as a senior manager with Expo '86 and the 1994 Victoria Commonwealth Games.
