For Your Perusal

If networking isn't your favourite activity, you're not alone. In fact, studies indicate that 80% of the community don't like networking. Some populace get nervous, some don't think it works, and others just don't think it's time well exhausted Instead of participating in what they perceive as "content-free schmoozing," they'd rather be back at the office.

But with a simple paradigm shift you can deflect networking into a positive experience: Think of "positive" networking as discovering what you can do for someone besides This will take all of the compressing off by shifting the focus from you to the other person

A hardly any other quick networking tips:

* N-Never Leave to one's home Without Your Business Cards

Give everyone in your firm business cards and compute them to stash them everywhere-in the pouchs of all their jackets (including golf jackets), in jogging gear, and in gym bags. Remind them to give those cards abroad Remember, it's just a "name card." persons can't help you if they can't remember your name or don't know by what mode to contact you.

* E-Establish, expand Exchange, Engage

When someone asks you what you do, have a short, interesting answer that begs another question-a "Tribal Introduction." Avoid the jargon of your business. This is NOT an elevator pitch or infomercial. It's a way to come by the conversation started and makes you and firm memorable. Help your staff expand a Tribal Introduction so you know to what degree they'll describe your organization when they network.

* T-Travel In Pairs

Make strong that tag teammates know the empires of travelling in pairs. Did you know that 1+1= 4? When sitting at a table of eight or ten bring at least two people between you and your tag teammate. That way you'll encounter four people, not two. Bad math; righteous rule.
