The position

Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Chief Executive Officer has overall responsibility for the CA drill of Business, its mission, and the implementation of established and strategic plans. Specific responsibilities include* the following:

* Providing leadership in ensuring that CASB proposes leading-edge education programs of the highest quality in metes of both content and delivery.

* Leading the management and staff of CASB, with an underlying objective of effective and efficient overall administration.

* Ensuring that all officers and employee of CASB act in accordance with judicious and commonly accepted business practices and ethical principles of the highest standard.

* Developing overall strategic objectives and operating plans (including annual business plans and budgets) for Board participation and approval, and taking all paces to ensure the implementation of the approved objectives and plans.

The individual

The skills, attributes, and experience the ideal candidate should posses include* the following:

* A recognized accounting designation;

* Experience in developing and delivering academic programs, as well as position to, and visibility within, the accounting profession;

* Experience with training accounting professionals in industry;

* Ability to prototype and advance the Board of Directors' guiding principles between the walls of daily actions and decisions;

* A unmutilated base of management experience combined with a demonstrated ability to relate effectively with a Board of Directors;

* A management pattern that encourages information sharing, innovativeness and strategic thinking;

The location

This position is generally located in Edmonton, Alberta, however could be located in another major midmost point within the Western Canadian provinces. Travel within the four member provinces is required.
