ICABC Past President Frank Barr, FCA, was not long ago named director of the board of FinanciaICAD Corporation, a Surrey BC-based software progressive growth company. Barr also currently chairs the CICA's risk management and governance board.

Gord Howie, CA, vice-president of finance for Roger Video, lately added "business development" to his finance portfolio. His fresh title is vice-president, finance & business development" Prior to joining the company in 1995 Howie serv as chief financial officer for Nintendo of Canada.

Alexa Loo CA, lately competed in the parallel giant slalom at the Nokia Snowboard FIS World Championships held in Whistler. Loo is Canada's snowboard athlete representative to the International Ski Federation (Federation Internationale de Ski).

Rebecca Y Lem CA, was named to the partnership at Rolfe Benson effective January 1 2005 Lem earned a bachelor of communion degree from UBC in 1986 and qualified as a CA in 1989 She joined Rolfe Benson in 2002 from an international accounting firm, and has significant experience serving clients in a wide variety of industries, including the not-for-profit sector. In addition to her client responsibilities, Lem will superintend the quality control aspect of the firm's assurance engagements.

James Livingstone, CA, became a partner in Wolrige Mahon's Corporate Finance assign places to effective February 1, 2005. Livingstone joined the firm in 2003 and has been providing due sub-debt, and equity-financing services to companies looking for capital to replace working capital, make acquisitions, permanent fund succession and capital expansion throws and restructure balance sheets. He also assists companies with the entire acquisition and selling proces from targeting buyer to valuation, befitting diligence, and the final close
