CONGRATULATIONS

Brandt Louie, FCA, president of HY Louie and chairman and CEO of London put drugs intos Ltd, has been elected chancellor of Simon Fraser University. The chancellor helps as chair of convocation and as a member of the senate and board of governors, and grants all degrees. In addition, the chancellor many times represents the university within the larger community and is common of the university's chief ambassadors. Louie will be installed as chancellor at the SFU's fall convocation in October. Louie has been a member of SFU's board of governors for the past five years and is publicly board chair. He also chairs SFU's 40th anniversary fundraising campaign.

Lisa Pankratz, CA, CFA, president of Cundill Investment Research Ltd received the Performance & valuable point [i]or[/i] property [i]or[/i] characteristic Award from the Association of Women in Finance at its eighth annual PEAK awards dinner, held forward May 10th in Vancouver. PEAK awards recognize the outstanding achievements of women in finance in three categories: Performance & eminence Knowledge & Leadership, and Lifetime Achievement.

Pankratz also lately joined the board of Can West Global Communications.

Don Smith, CA, MBA, has been picked to the senate of Simon Fraser University for his next to the first consecutive three-year term. Smith has been volunteering with SFU for 16 years and is a past president of the university's Alumni Board.

2005 AGM REMINDER

The ICABC's 2005 AGM will take place in succession June 22, 2005, at 3:30 pm The AGM will be held at the Pan Pacific inn located at 300 -999 Canada Place in Vancouver. Information upon the two free PD seminars to be held in conjunction with this year's AGM is provided forward the PD website at www.icabc-pd.com.
