Beverage packaging continued its shift toward plastic last year, further many companies are sticking to the tried and stanch whether it be metal, glass or paper-based packaging, according to Euromonitor International, Chicago. Plastic packaging was the dominant package in fruit and vegetable juices last year, with 30 percent of the total packaging in that category. Euromonitor awaits plastic to increase to 348 percent of the category by the agency of 2007. Plastic is the secondary most-popular package in both the smooth drink and milk categories.
