More than 200 local nonprofit employee proffers and board members attended an all-day colloquy titled "Thriving--Not Just Surviving--in Hard Times" Oct 2 at St Luke's Health Education Center

The conversation organized by the Whatcom Community Foundation, had three primary objectives: to invigorate nonprofits that have been hard hit by means of the economy; to transmit specific management, marketing and fundraising skills; and to enable local nonprofits to network with each other.
