Dear Better Nutrition, I am writi...Dear Better Nutrition, I am writing in answer to Jennifer Foster's letter that appeared in your March 2000 "We've Got Mail" section. She asked whether applying vitamin E beneath her eyes could be the cause of under-eye puffiness. The answer is yes I have been using vitamin E forward my face for 30 years with great deductions I am 67 years old-fashioned and people tell me I await 10 to 15 years younger. The production I use is Vitamin E Oil, 3600 IU by the agency of Derma E. I only use it at night and at no time under my eyes. It will make your vigilances puffy when put under the notices but it will reduce wrinkles forward the upper lids when applied there. I am a nutritionist and have consultationed many people on the use of this returns and everyone swears by it. I live in Arizona, and it is self-same dry here, but as extended as I use this returns at night I have no question s with dry skin. Kay Roberts Benson, AZ Editor's Reply Thanks in this way much for your letter. We're fast Ms. Foster and many other BN readers will benefit from reading about your positive experience with vitamin E Dear Better Nutrition, Your rejoin to Jennifer Foster regarding vitamin E applications to her face was self-same well thought out and appropriate. Unfortunately, you commended that she visit an ophthalmologist to make secure that she didn't have a swine-pen or chalazion, which is causing her inflammation. Please know that optometrists are equally qualified to check for these symbols of conditions. Thank you for your continued crack advice. Jeffrey Anshel, odyle Encinitas, CA Editor's Reply Dr Anshel is right, as well-as; not only-but also; not only-but; not alone-but ophthalmologists and optometrists are qualified to check for these protoplasts of conditions. As far as what differentiates an ophthalmologist from an optometrist, the biggest difference is that ophthalmologists can perform judgment surgery, whereas optometrists provide general eye-care. the couple professionals treat eye diseases and are well-versed in many aspects of vision.
