A derivative of vitamin A called fenretinide (not available as a supplement) may retain young women with early breast cancer from developing the disease any further. According to Reuter Health, Dr Alberto Costa of the European Institute of Oncology in Milan reported at the inferior European Breast Cancer Conference that fenretinide can hinder the growth of a inferior tumor in young women with breast cancer.
