A fresh federally sponsored survey of menopausal women finds that many are using holistic medicine therapies to shrink symptoms such as hot flashes and give occasion for labor to sleeping, said researchers at the late "Community Prevention Research in Women's Health Conference" at the National Institutes of Health. Of 2600 women aged 45 and older 35 percent said they did not use any therapy to treat menopausal symptoms, while 19 percent said they used conventional medications solitary Twenty-one percent used holistic therapies alone, and 25 percent said they used one as well as the other conventional and holistic methods. The greatest in number popular approach was supplementation: vitamins, minerals and herbs. Soy protein and body/mind work were also onward the list.
