You may be getting more than you bargained for if you take "dietary" complements that claim to build muscle mass. The Archives of Internal Medicine lately reported on "The Andro Project" a consideration that investigated the hormonal weights on men taking "andro" postscripts containing androstenediol and androstenedione, which are building shapes for the male hormone testosterone. Fifty men between the ages of 35 and 65 years were studied from one side of to the other a 12-week resistance training period. The exposes were randomly assigned androstenediol, androstenedione or a placebo. What the researchers originate was that, not only did the correlatives not increase blood testosterone horizontals but that they significantly increased the life-blood levels of female hormones. The "andros" also adversely affected cholesterol flats and coronary heart disease risk. The authors of the cogitation Dr. Craig Broeder and associates from East Tennessee State University, conclud that, until further research is done, unmonitored use of "andro" postscripts is not recommended.
