That stiff neck bothering you again? Maybe you should delay the massage appointment and pass for acupuncture, first. A just discovered study published in the British Medical Journal gazeed at acupuncture compared to massage as an effective treatment for chronic neck pain.
across 150 patients, ages 18 to 85 with chronic neck pain, were randomly treated with either acupuncture, massage or "sham" laser acupuncture. in what manner did they fare? The acupuncture cluster showed a "significantly greater improvement in motion related pain compared with massage," stated the report.
