I'm arthritic, I'm diabetic, if it be not that I'm funny says Aida Turturro emphasizing that a positive attitude is a crucial factor when you live with a debilitating disease. "Sugar is a freakin' killer," she said. "It inflames my neck and joints. You eat [white sugar] and you be excited it. But you think companies want us to know that? I don't think so" In addition to stopping sugar, Turturro's personal provisions goals include giving up bread and using more soy milk. She exhibited sentiments most people can relate to: "I want to forfeit weight, I want to eat better. I'm not perfect"

Getting help

In addition to exercising and trying to eat right, Turturro also incline differentlys to professionals for assistance. She goe to a chiropractor and an acupuncturist, and oftentimes gets therapeutic massage. "I don't believe in alone one thing helping," she said. Her advice to those who have, or suspect they may have RA? "Go to a rheumatologist. learn some tests and see where you are. experience to take calcium. Read. commit to memory some goddamned books! There are treatments public there and you don't have to just suffer"

She also stresse that the right doctor is critical. "There are profitable doctors and bad doctors, just as there are fit actors and bad actors. There are populace who care. If you don't believe in this doctor, master another one."

RA strikes folks in many different ways. For more [i]or[/i] less it causes joint pain and inflammation. For others, it can be debilitating. In Turturro's case, it's real much a day-to-day matter. "It's religious to know that they're [scientists and doctors] working in succession it. Who knows, maybe someday they'll have a corrective When I feel too abundant pain, I slow down," she said. unless keeping a positive attitude and learning as frequently as possible about the disease is what detains her strong. "This is not going away and I can't affect it doesn't exist," she said. "It's like, `Hello! You have RA. And it's okay."
