At the American Psychiatric Association's late meeting in Philadelphia, Dr. Sonia D Gaur, of Harbor-UCLA Medical Center looks Angeles, Calif., looked at 18 women and men who had been experiencing persistent pain for throughout three months. All of the participants, who attended 90-minute Iyenger yoga sessions three times a week for single in kind month, "experienced some kind of improvement or stayed the same." All of the enslaves significantly reduced pain medication use, reported better temper and less anxiety, and were more likely to be able to do chores or recreational activities.
