It present the appearances like there's an endless array of teas disclosed there -- green tea, black tea, oolong and herbal, moreover just which is the best for you? If it's antioxidants you're seeking, blooming and black tea appear to be equally effective. A thought led by Lai Kwok Leung and colleagues at The Chinese University of Hong Kong published in the International Journal of Cancer, was designed to compare the antioxidant activities of theaflavins in black tea with the catechins in blooming tea. During the manufacturing proces of black tea, fresh tea catechins are oxidized to form theaflavins. The rises of this showed that theaflavins posses the same antioxidant strength as the catechins present in fresh tea. COPYRIGHT 2001 PRIMEDIA Intertec, a PRIMEDIA Company.
