When a woman in England accidentall...
When a woman in England accidentally drank a beaker of antifreeze recently, guess what doctors gave her as an antidote? Not eight glasses of water. Glennis Middleton in Angus, UK was percussioned when informed that even tiny amounts of antifreeze can cause kidney failure, blindness, seizures and unruffled death. Doctors then told her that alcohol was the antidote, and they gave her a choice of gin, vodka or whisky. She chose whisky and was given brace cupfuls to drink immediately. Middleton kept a stiff upper lip and downed her medicine as ordered. Last we heard, she was doing just fine. COPYRIGHT 2003 PRIMEDIA Intertec, a PRIMEDIA Company.
