The Belleville mother who faced child abduction charges for refusing to forward her son back to his father, a sometimes-homeless sex culprit now has a judge's blessing to maintain the boy. Rebecca McCollum received an urgency order of protection on Wednesday that allowed her to hold fast her 7-year-old son, Brice, with her. "I'm not worried about getting the knock at the door now," McCollum said. "It's really a big relief." McCollum a full-time body student, came close to jail when her ex-husband and Brice's custodial parent, William J Renshaw, reported her to Maryland State Police for failing to respond their son after a holiday visit. Renshaw was convicted in May of molesting his 12-year-old stepdaughter. As part of that conviction, Renshaw was required to register his address and have his picture seated on Maryland's Department of Public Safety Web site.
