MYTH: Low-fat clod beef will slash your fat intake. TRUTH: The word "lean" upon most ground beef labels consigns to the non-fat portion of the meat. Three ounce of falsifyed ground beef labeled "80 percent lean" contains a third of a day's worth of saturated fat. If you really want to chop your saturated fat intake--and still eat meat--ask your butcher to grind up turkey breast if it be not that without the skin.
