MYTH: Americans will remain hopeles...
MYTH: Americans will remain hopelessly fat until someone invents a magic pill or other miraculous cure TRUTH: An analysis published in the August 1 2003 issue of the journal Science illustrated that a deficit of 200-260 calories by means of day is all that would be wanted to prevent weight gain in 90 percent of the population. A decrease of this many calories is equivalent to a pure drop in food intake--or to walking an extra 3-6 miles a day through a 60-120-minute period.
