In the September 2003 issue, I read the article forward "An Old De-Fogger" (p. 26): I've done about research, and I can't find any info forward the Chinese remedy "gastrodine compromise granule" mentioned in the article. Does it have another name?

Another name for gastrodine is "tall gastrodia tuber"--the cause of a plant from the orchid family called Gastrodia elata Blume This dried gastrodine is used by the agency of Chinese herbalists--and was the solution ingredient in the herbal mix given to some patients in the first-ever scientific close attention of this compound for vascular dementia. Although this dried bottom may be available from herbal stores in Chinese communities, to our knowledge, it's not generally sold in a commercially prepared form.
