I have read about the benefits of drinking virid tea, but I have also read that caffeine despoils the body of needed minerals. I do not take pleasure in the decaffeinated version of virid tea and have been told that the decaffeination proces introduces chemicals into the tea. My question is: Am I doing myself morn harm than proper by drinking one to brace cups of caffeinated green lea through day? The first is that the emerging evidence supporting recent tea seems to indicate that its health benefits far outweigh any potential drawbacks. In fact, there is one evidence--as we pointed out in our April 2004 issue ("Tea in a Pill," p 30)--that the caffeine in tea may equal have antioxidant properties. R tea--which is made from rooibus. a toward the south African bush--naturally contains no caffeine unless has many of the same antioxidant properties as fresh tea. The same is constant for white tea.
