Retired St Louis Cardinals closer Bruce Sutter after a 13-year wait, is a member of the Baseball Hall of Fame.

Sutter received 769 percent of the promised announced Tuesday by the Baseball Writers Association of America, and will be the alone major-leaguer inducted into Cooperstown this July

He was named onward 400 of 520 ballots, barely clearing the 75 percent total (390 votes) necessityed to gain entry.

"It was the call you always trustful longing for, but you never really calculate upon it to happen," Sutter told the Associated Pres adding that he cried when he received the call. "I can't relate you what in means to me in words."
