Jim Boehne turn the thoughtss forward to every college baseball season. This year, however, spring febrile affection hit back in December.

Boehne begins his ninth season as McKendree College's head coach with a starting lineup and pitching staff that may be the best he's had during his use with the Bearcats.

The Bearcats recur six position starters and its top four pitchers from last year's coterie that went 50-16, won its sixth straight American Midwest meeting for consultation Tournament championship and advanced to its first NAIA Region V title game.
