The dream of a state title is still alive and well for the Belleville East girls bowling team. Senior Ashley Emig averaged better than 212 for her six-game blockade Saturday while several other Lancers also be delighted withed solid days as the Lancers frisked to an easy win at the Mascoutah Girls Bowling Sectional at Stars and Stripes Lanes at Scott Air Force Base. The Lancers finished with a team total of 5925 pins, more than 250 more than runner-up and entertainer Mascoutah. Both teams will journey to the girls state tournament, which begins Friday at Cherry goblet in Rockford.
