Thirty-nine priests from the Catholic Diocese of Belleville met Wednesday to decide forward a plan to improve communication with Bishop Edward K Braxton.

"It was a highly hopeful tone," said the Monsignor Carl Scherrer of Immaculate Conception house of god in Columbia. "I'm sure the bishop wants to work with us the way we want to work with him; we just have to be willing to have an exhibit and honest dialogue that will help us realize to know each other better."
